1) E.T Makes A Cameo In The Movie
The same species of E.T makes a cameo appearance during a scene in the movie. They are called ‘Asogians‘ and can be seen in the Galactic Senate. This was some payback for Steven Spielberg, who included some Star Wars toys in E.T.
2) George Lucas Approached Three People To Direct Episode I: Ron Howard, Robert Zemeckis, and Steven Spielberg.
All three of them told Lucas that he should do it himself, which ended up happening. This was Lucas’ first movie he directed in the series since A New Hope.

4) Ray Park Was Originally On The Stunt Team Before Getting Cast As Darth Maul
George Lucas and the production team were so impressed by Park that they decided to cast him as Darth Maul.
5) Benicio Del Toro Was Rumored To Be Originally Cast As Darth Maul
The rumor goes that Del Toro dropped out after learning that most of Maul’s lines would be cut from the film.
6) Over 3000 Kids Auditioned For The Role Of Anakin Skywalker
This included names like Cameron Finley, Justin Berfield and Michael Angarano. Jake Lloyd ended up getting the role.
7) Another Popular Rumor Is That Michael Jackson Wanted To Play Jar Jar Binks.
Jackson wanted to do the role in “prosthetics and makeup”. George Lucas wanted to do the role in CGI. Hard to imagine the King of Pop playing the role of Jar Jar.
